Who We Are
71% (362 million sq kilometers ) of the world is covered in water. We knew less about the bottom of the ocean than we do about the surface of the moon. Yet what happens underneath the surface of the water arguably is the largest influencer of what happens to our planet as a whole. What happens under the waves causes and controls the temperature, the carbon cycle, the winds, and the future of humanity. The carbon cycle of our world starts deep in the ocean and affects climate change. If we are to have any chance of preserving our world, we must understand what is happening in our oceans and deep waters.
More About Us
OUR APPROACH
Today, the overwhelming amount of the investment going into deep water exploration is done by oil and gas companies. We have actually benefited from the dollars these companies have invested in researching and building tools to explore deep water. But their motive is obviously focus on their own interests. We need investment dollars going into exploration, research, and conservation with the motive of public interests.
